Pattern Making and Fitting (Bustle era Bodice)-
$75 student, $35 optional drafting kit, 3-15 students, All day class (can take 2 days for more intensive study at a cost of $100 student)
· How to take good measurements from Marna Jean's measurement chart.
· The bodice as it relates to all classes of Victorian ladies.
· Drawing paper pattern. Adding seam allowances.
· Making allowances for large bust cups.
· Cutting your muslin from the paper pattern, Sewing it.
· Fitting problems and fixing them.
· Adapting your basic bodice to different styles common in the period.
· Sleeves, collars and closures for your bodice.
· Making the basic sleeve and cuff variations for different years.
· Drafting collars for your bodice-the Military, the roll (round) collar, the stand-up collar, the ruffle collar.
